Manchester Databricks User Group Debuts at Data Decoded MCR
We’re thrilled to announce that the Manchester Databricks User Group is making its debut at Data Decoded MCR on October 21st, 2025, at the Manchester Central Convention Complex. This marks an exciting milestone for our community as we join one of the most dynamic data events in the UK.
Why We’re Excited
Data Decoded is a two-day festival that brings together data professionals, business leaders, and innovators to explore the latest in data and AI. With a packed agenda covering topics like Data Engineering, Generative AI, and AI Strategy, this event is the perfect platform to connect, learn, and grow.
If you have been keeping up with our AI Readiness series over on The Databricks Diaries, we’re particularly looking forward to the “What Leadership Looks Like in a World of AI” seminar with Sam Booth (CEO, pro manchester) and Oliver Pickup (Founder & Director, Pickup Media), which promises to deliver valuable insights into navigating leadership in the age of AI.
The speaker lineup is equally impressive, featuring industry experts like Hannah Bruce, Head of Data Transformation (Lloyds Banking Group), Andy Grant, EMEA Director - Supercomputing, Higher Education & AI (NVIDIA), and Dr. Jeevan Perera, Senior Engineer and Deputy Station Chief (NASA).
What to Expect at Our Manchester Databricks User Group Session
Our session will take place on October 21st from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. We’ve lined up an incredible evening of learning and networking, featuring guest speakers from Hightouch, dbt Labs, and ThoughtSpot.
Whether you’re a seasoned data professional or just starting out, this is your chance to engage and expand your network.
How to Join Us
To attend, you’ll need to register for free tickets to Data Decoded and sign up for our session on Meetup. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a growing Databricks community in Manchester.
Let’s make this debut one to remember!
